Snow White

Learn to kiss

Learn to feel the unrequited wish

On the trembling, parted lips

A cave with treasure buried under

Dust and muck of time and neglect

Not a willing prospect

Unwind the hair from the tangled heart

It's shivering, but it needs freedom

Freedom to conduct its own warmth

To beat its blood without support

Brave enough to cower at its own shadow

To lend a nimble hand to the needy

Without needing of its own accord

To kiss its own open sores
