The cage that keeps us the safest is nothing more than bone. and yet we keep our most precious things within it's cavity. and we hope that nothing spills from it's cracks and that if anyone wants to touch us we can hide within the security that we've built for ourselves. it's like an egg in a nest. something so fragile and breakable that we want so greatly to share with the world without fear of damage. if only we could pay the extra $2.50 for priority shipping. but there are no guarantees. and promises are simply lullabies that fill us with ease and comfort. so until the day we lose all fear we can protect our hearts with bubble wrap and packing peanuts and be cautious of the bumps in the road
