Fast Forgetting

I stumble down Stopping past a raw bud And look up to the bounty I leave behind

I knew it once

The hill held happiness Beneath its earthen hearth It beats still

But I am left To leave and loathe to Go

Below There lies a lake A liar's loch Stalking me as I pass The long grass goads me Into memory

Farther from the firth I flee Into a town of tired souls The misery will tempt a turn Yet must I travel To my goal maligned

I find the crossroads As I kept them Costly swept away with Weeping dirt

I hurt to diet Hieing my heart To die Yet on it speaks And so I meet The lightning
