Yume sighed softly as she leaned against the bench where she had sat and was watching the powdery white snow slowly fall. It reminded her of angels wings. From where she sat, she could see a wide expanse of white. In the fall, it was a golden wheat field. In the winter, it became an endless field of white. Smiling softly she stood up and walked to the edge of the cliff. For, the bench was near a steep drop. She called it her base. She came here whenever she needed to think. And now was a time to think. Her long-time friend, Sora, had confessed his love to her just the other day. She had been un-intentionally avoiding him since then, trying to sort out her feelings. She walked to where she as only 3 steps away from the edge and just gazed at the falling snowflakes.
She was so entranced by the falling snow she didn't notice the sound of soft foot-steps, cushioned by the snow, making the sound even softer.
"Yume-chan?" Yume jumped at the voice. Nobody had ever found her secret place.
"Sora-kun?" She spun around to face the hazel haired boy. She heard his twinkling laughter as he saw her surprised face. She realized how much she had missed that sound when she hadn't been around him. He stepped closer to her and rested his hand on her shoulder, sending a tingly feeling through out her body, warming her up even in the winter cold.
"I missed you." He whispered, leaning down to her ear, making her blush furiously.
"M-me too." She mumbled, just loud enough for him to hear as she timidly wrapped her arms around his waist, pulling him into a hug.
"You know, Yume-chan… I love you." He mumbled into her hair.
"Me too… I l-love Sora." She looked up at him and pulled him into a sweet kiss, making up her mind about her jumbled feelings.
