"Whew! I tell you Laney! The soccer coaches these days! They don't know what they're doing! I am about to die of over exertion! If I die, you're going to come to my funeral right?" my best friend Drew asked, mopping the sweat from his body with his shirt.

"Aw Drewwie, are you tired after running a few little suicides? Does little Dwew want his soccer coaches to be nicer to him? Well suck it up mister! You signed up for this so you have to do whatever they make you. That, my friend is why I chose to be a drama geek and be in the play and the musical," I said, shaking my auburn curls out of their confining ponytail.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever Laney! You're just jealous that you can't run a mile as fast as I can, cuz you're a loser!" Drew sang.

"You're the one who's complaining about having to run suicides loser!" I exclaimed sticking my tongue out at him.

"You're in for it now Laney. No one sticks their tongue out at the Drew Master and gets away with it!" Drew shouted reaching for me.

I expected Drew to do something like this, so I was already 2 feet in front of where he thought I was when he started reaching. I laughed at his bewildered expression when he got only air in his hands and then started running towards my car.

"You may have won this round Laney McGuffin, but I'm watching you. One of these days, I'm going to be the winner!" Drew exclaimed to my retreating figure.

I laughed. This was a normal day for Drew and me. Him chasing and me running away. It's how it's always been with the two of us. I don't think anybody realized how much things could be changed in just an instant.
