In Diem Onus

Upon my lips whiles woe
Where once they met the moon
Wet with wild light
Beneath her hips
Lay wisps of gold
Which hid beguiled prey
I wished day would not come

Within my eyes lies loneliness
Beyond that smiling night
When she straddled me with sky
Round worlds found my fingers
To see her sing
Rising the harmony of the hunt
I begged not for day's release

Along my shells lives silence
After the stars hid away
Her holy whisper
Shouted with my heart
A communion chorus
Cut by sharp spears of sunlight
I watched the death of day
