Through the sorrows,

And the fears,

Stemmed from long forgotten tears,

From my heartache,

And my cries,

Came a feeling in disguise.

It crept upon my,

Inch by inch,

Stealing and slipping,

And hiding from me,

Came a kind of bravery.

What won't kill me,

Will make me stronger,

So I was told,

And such a truth I now behold.
