My Life At The Hands of Time

Second Hand, tick away

So that I know my life moves on

But Hour Hand don't wander

Till all my life is gone

While you may go in a circle

My life is but a line

And every solitary rotation

Leaves a part of me behind

And Minute Hand don't be so cruel

So as to drag Hour Hand along

Why not pick on someone your own size?

Did the hours ever do you wrong?

And as I watch you go round and round

I find myself at a lost

After watching your dizzying dance

Another second, minute, hour cost
