"Hey, are you ready?"

"You pumped up for this?"

"Definitely, I've been waiting for this all year."

"Good, good. Get ready, I'll be at your door in a sec."

I drove up her white paved driveway, on the side of the huge house on the nicer part of town. I honked on my horn. She came dressed perfectly, boots, baggy jeans, and my John Deere hoodie. She climbed up into my truck and sat down, she just looked at me.

"Baby get ready." I raised my eyebrows.

The sun was sinking lower and lower. It was perfect, I smiled as I turned my headlights on as we drove down a dirt road.

"What is this place?" She asked me.

"It's a special place that nobody has ever been to. Only the people I've taken here."

"Oh, I feel lucky." She grinned at me.

"You should." I looked at her and winked.

We got there, to the bank of the river and we took the blankets out of the back of my truck and laid them down. We probably sat there with our poles in our hands with no sign of fish whatsoever.

"I thought you said you caught a bunch of fish here before?" She asked with a laugh.

"I usually do, I don't know what's going on." I was kind of disappointed I screwed up her first time going fishing.

"Hey," She stood up and lifted my head up, "I'm having fun, so you didn't screw anything up." She smiled and I smiled back. She sat back down and laid back and looked up at the stars. "What are we gonna do now?"

I stood up and peeled off my shirt, "Wanna jump in the river?"

"Oh, you bet." She pulled off her shirt and shorts to reveal her blue polka dotted bikini.

It ended up that It didn't matter to her that we sat forever without a bite on the poles but it still ended up being a great experience. Ashley will never forget her first time fishing in the dark.
