On a cold winter's night as the breeze billows through newborn leaves and the moon becomes the window to the heavens, a silence rushes through the neighborhood. The first signs of the glimmering frost begin to fall; a thin sheet of white soon to blanket the earth below. Sitting by the window, leaning against the pane, a pair of sapphire eyes watches as winter gives life to her children. With wonder and curiosity, the pad of a tiny finger presses upon the cool glass, longing to touch the small puffs of white. As time passes away, thick lashes crash down upon soft skin, sleep coming on strongly. A voice of masculine make flutters through the air in the form of a chuckle, the father moving to gather up his son. Sometime later whilst climbing the stairs, the child grips onto his father, a nightmare invading his slumber.

Wanting to soothe those bad dreams away, a quick path is tread to a boyish styled room. There, the father lounges back, holding and rocking his son gently, whispering tender words…"hush, little one, there is nothing to fear. There is nothing to fear when I am here. Sleep, little one, have peaceful dreams. I will be here when the sun says good morning to thee." It would seem that such easing words have a calming effect for the boy settles down in sleep. With a smile, his father ends up drifting off, not a worry in his wayward mind as he traces through his own realm of sleep.

Somewhere out within the woods on the same magical eve, the wails of a babe can be heard. The mother goes to gather her bundle of joy close to her heart so that the beating sound may calm the infant. Getting lost in thought, the cries having died down, the mother hums a soft melody before singing sweet words. "Hush, little one, I now have you. You're safe in my arms, there's nothing to harm you. Stop your tears, my little one, be at ease. I'm here for you and always will be." As peace embraces the sleeping newborn, the mother sighs with content, continuing to hum her lullaby.

Other children, no matter their age, wish and yearn for comfort tonight. Whether it is a little or whether it be a lot, the need to be comforted still lingers. But, when no one is around, just hum a little tune. Everything will be washed away, not a fear or worry left. Just close your eyes…forget about your thoughts…and let yourself go…"Hush, little one, don't you worry, things will be okay. Just say a little prayer and maybe a little wish, then wake up to a day." Now taking the words and forming them into a song is the best way to take in calm. Just rest and you'll see that peace and tranquility shall come to you whenever it is that you're feeling blue.

"Hush, little one, there is nothing to fear. There is nothing to fear when I am here. Sleep, little one, have peaceful dreams. I will be here when the sun says good morning to thee. Hush, little one, I now have you. You're safe in my arms, there's nothing to harm you. Stop your tears, my little one, be at ease. I'm here for you and always will be. Hush, little one, don't you worry, things will be okay. Just say a little prayer and maybe a little wish, then wake up to a new day."
