Typical Internet Love

For many years I always considered the internet to be quite boring and time consuming. Full of unreliable websites which are prone to give you viruses, ads which pop up immediately before the page has barely loaded, games and videos that swallow up all your download usuage in one go. I guess if you are a 16 year old guy (like myself) the internet has some benefits, like downloading music illegally (yes, we've all done it before) free porn (hey don't look so surprised, as guys, we all take a sneak peak!) and chatting to our mates. But it all get's boring, I have a life to live, I can't waste it all on the internet...

All that has changed now and I take back everything I said. Now, thanks to my awesome best friend Brad I have no life! I literally have to drag my eyes away from the computer screen and whinge for days about headaches and straining of the eyes.

It was an afternoon after school and I was at Brad's place rocking out on our guitar's when he introduced me to a 'hang out for teen's' chat room. He told me everyone's logged in on it and that I should seriously join. I shrugged and played it cool, but I was jumping for joy inside of me.

All too soon I had activated my account and was talking to chicks in other countries. These guys I'd never met before thought I was completely awesome and that I rocked at guitar... sweet. It was all fun while it lasted but I had talked to nearly everyone my age on there and I was looking for a change.

This girl called Richelle was a newbie, so I added her in hope of getting some action. I saw a picture of her and got blown away big time! She was the most beautiful girl I had ever layed eyes on, and trust me I have seen my share of girls. I can picture her shoulder length hair which shone a platinum blond and was dead straight. Her eyes were the most gorgeous feature... get this... they sparkled a light green and looked like tiny emeralds embedded one by one around the pupil of her eyes. Her face was heart shaped and she was quite pale but her lips were as pink and as plump as any delicious, juicy fruit. She had such a sexy smile which showed tiny dimples on her cheeks. I couldn't see her body (damn) but I imagined it was curvy and perfect just like the rest of her.

I talked to her a lot more than necessary but she was a really fun chick to talk to. She had a funny, bubbly personality. She seemed nice, caring and I could pour out all my problems to her and she would try her best to sort them out. Jealous much?

Wait until you hear this part. She was single and lived right next to me! Okay well, maybe not exactly neighbours but she lived in the area. Score! But I wanted things to run effortless and smoothly, not rush into anything. Oh heck I might not even meet her. But the chances looked good and she seemed interested in me too. After I explained to her my hot dirty blond hair, tanned body which was quite tall and lanky and blue eyes she couldn't resist me. I was on the verge of telling Brad about Richelle but I didn't want him to laugh, slap me on the back and call her a fake stalker who turns out to be an 80 year old dude. She could be... but she isn't. I know. I'm pretty sure at least.

It was a weekend and Brad organised an outing with a few of our other friends, it was stinking hot and we were heading off to the beach, I could not wait to get on a surfboard and ride the waves. We were all sitting on the sand, drinking a few beers, having an awesome time when my eyes caught a group of girls. My eyes averted to the most hottest girl and I felt my bad side kick in and I wanted to go up to them and flirt a litttle... just a little. There were 3 brunettes which were all checking me out and a blonde which my eyes fell upon. I don't know why but I am a sucker for blondes. I just think they have this naughty thing going on with us guys. It turns us, well at least me on.

"Well, well who is that hottie you're checking out Brendon?" Brad nudged me as he craned his head toward where they giggled and dipped their elegant feet into the sea.

"I dunno actually. I don't know them. Wanna go check them out?" I winked and he grinned. Total badass all the way.

We set a plan amongst the guys of what we would casually talk about and how we would greet them and headed across the soft sand. A smile played across my face which was then crushed as the blonde one turned around. I jerked to a halt. Brad tensed all of a sudden but then relaxed further. He thought I was scared and nervous. But I was, I was terrified, for the girl who gazed right into my blue eyes was the girl I dreamed every night about and hoped I would meet someday. Her jade eyes held my gaze as I mesmorised her heart shaped face and pink, plump lips. Richelle.

I swear she knew who I was and her eyes went wide with shock as she stared, and stared, and stared.

Just then a solid built, tanned guy who had dark brown hair blocked my view of her. She broke the gaze and once she saw him a teasing smile played upon her face. She ran one finger up his chest and he eargerly took her in his arms and pashed her. She forgot all about me and I wanted to forget about her. She told me she was single. She lied to me. Brad let out a low whistle and I could only childishly stamp my feet and storm away.

I've learnt a very valuable lesson. Never, ever, ever trust anyone on the internet because it might seem like all that lovey, dovey love crap but it isn't. I will never do that again. I guess it's no more internet for me again... I can live with that. I have a life to live.
