i hear the wind chimes behind me,
sweeping over my bare shoulders.
i feel the chain around my neck,
suffocation swelling from the turquoise chain.
i smell the wind in the trees,
throwing my mind up up up, ready for fall.
i see the clouds getting darker,
filling with lightning too shy to come out.
i taste reality on the tip of my tongue,
bordering the thinnest line between life and dreams.
i touch the stars,
hanging down low at midnight, caught.
