When my life changed forever

By ~nexuswarrior~

AN: Inspired by the song 'fighter' and 'survivor'. I don't want to write about he did but you will find out in this chapter. :) Enjoy! And review!! And last thing before the story: thank you sooooo much to ubi-scooby for waiting patiently before I told her the story…I do that a lot don't I? And now the story:

Chapter 2:

It had been two months since the commemoration ball. Jamie had no recollection of how the night ended but sadly Lucy remembered the night vividly. She couldn't bring herself to talk to him after what he had done to her.

Ever since that night, she had felt rather strange. Fearing the worst Lucy did the only thing she could think of. She had planned all of it carefully and snuck out early in the morning. The pharmacy opened around six in the morning and most people went around eight. She slipped in and out of the house without waking up anymore.

Lucy's POV:

I waited, pacing around the bathroom. Why was it taking so long? That was all I asked myself. That night kept repeating itself in my mind. What was wrong with him? I could tell that he wasn't in his right mind…but why did he do that? I'm thankful he didn't remember or there could be trouble…

Finally the time was up and I checked. On the little screen was the thing I had been dreading. How could it be?

"How can I be pregnant?" I whispered to myself. This couldn't be possible. I had just turned seventeen…I tried to deny it, but part of me knew that this was true.

I was pregnant with James Sullivan's baby. And he didn't even realize he had done anything.

That night's events played in my head.

I remember going to the room upstairs in the hall to dry my dress off because the sprinklers had turned on and we all had gotten wet. The door was slightly ajar. I was waiting for Annie to pick me up seeing that Jamie wasn't the best person to drive me home.

He came in to the room and looked hard at me. Something wasn't right with him. He closed the door behind him and sat down next to him.

"You doing up here?" His voice was a little slurred. "Aren't you having fun with me?"

Part of me wanted to leave but he grabbed hold of my hand and pulled me next to him. I knew I had to say something.

"Um…I was tired of the music." I lied quickly. The music was fine but it was his friends who were annoying me.

"Oh…makes sense. You hate the music." He paused. "You don't hate me."

This was a statement not a question. Before I knew it he had pinned me against the wall. Trying to struggle was no use against his grip and I gave in. The rest of the night passed as a blur. I don't remember how I got home though. Or how I got away from Jamie. I could tell he was drunk despite not having any alcohol at the party. Someone must have snuck it in and given him some.

Normal POV:

At that exact moment Hilary came into the bathroom. She looked at Lucy on the floor and the pregnancy test on the floor.

"Lucy, please tell me that's not what I think it is!" Her voice sounded panicked.

Lucy looked up at her sister. And whispered: "Hilary, I'm sorry." Before breaking down and crying.

Hilary sat next to her and hugged her tightly. This couldn't be happening. Lucy didn't make mistakes like this.

They sat like that for the next twenty minutes when Anna came to check up them.

"You ok in there?" She called anxiously.

"We're fine. Be out in a second, ok?" Hilary called back before getting up and washing her face. "Who's is it Lucy? You know don't you?"

"Remember the commemoration ball? It happened there. He kind of attacked me just so quickly I didn't realize what was going on until…well it was too late to do anything." Telling Hilary would just ruin him too, thought Lucy sadly.

"Lucy, who was it?" Her voice sounded angry and firm.

"Jamie Sullivan" Lucy whispered, closing her eyes trying to forget that night.

Had Jamie known what he was doing or about to do he would never have done it. He respected women for who they were and refused to think of them as anything else but an equal. His life was taking a turn for the worse and he didn't even know it. But the one thing on Lucy's mind was how she was going to face everyone at school. They all disliked her and this would a great opportunity for them to ridicule her more than ever or try to harm her or the baby. Jamie had a lot of fan girls who would do anything to keep her away from him.
