Revision

Been a little melancholy lately
Lesser men would keep it hidden
But my feelings won't subside
I'm much too loud to be a buddhist

What side of me do I reply with
The one that thought it knew the way
Or the other that can feel it
The one that cuts through all the bullshit

Take me
I'm the one waving like a madman
On the far side of fiction, though touching the mirror
All it takes is friendly fire to finally build ships

If you place your head underwater long enough
You can see clearly, as you would after midnight
In the darkest of rooms where housed my spirit
The space unspoken of and billed to shine

No illusion anymore
Only bows stand ready
The cries for war, the statues seen
I am both blind and shy

Believe in something long enough
And it will be life
