The life of a student may not be

As grave as that of an adult

But nay, it is not to say

That is as light as feathers can be

It is rather full of tumult

A similarity can be drawn thereof

As to the oceans, the dreaded seas

In the length of the year it is like that of

The treacherous seas of the East

Laiden with taifun, waves ready to send

The ships thereupon to the depths, to the dark end

Yet when all of those are past, remember

Remember when you set ashore

That at any moment, any time, the shore

Would retreat, and bring forth back a tsunami

Those who are prepared shall survive

Those who are not, shall be taken back

To the middle of the seas

In the middle of nowhere
