A Moment Undercover

The woman on the screen told me
I should grab my umbrella
I didn't look outside
Didn't want to
Wasn't feeling well enough
To gaze or glance
To chance the weather
Whether or not you looked

Hooked, I dared not turn away
It was raining inside
Five percent possibility
Though I knew it to be a hundred

How often I redly thought
Readily considering
Hunted in dreams

With the door ajar
And light budding though
Cars splash-splish over
Potholes the city left to taxes
Left unlevied
Unleveled the road
Riding my mind
Driving to find the minute
Where the path was more important
And that was the goal
So it's a serene circle, you understand

Cautious, I caught us
A cloud outlined
Outside the rain
