We bustled out the door of the bistro and shivered against the wind as it whipped around us. The crowds of people closed in, Winter wrapped his arm around my waist; tugging me closer to him until I was pressed firmly against his side.

I froze, he snickered, "I get to do this, since you're my fiancé and all."

I winced as my own words were used against me, "yeah yeah. I don't mind, whatever keeps that…thing away from me." I muttered.

He chuckled and tugged me tighter, "this is going to be interesting. So what shall we do today?"

I leaned my head against his shoulder, "why don't we just walk around and we'll do whatever strikes our fancy?" I suggested.

"Sounds like a great idea to me." we walked along the storefronts, chatting about what lay in the shelves. We passed a toyshop; I pulled back from Winter and looked up at him, eyes gleaming.

"Let's go." He cocked an eyebrow at me.

"Let's go Winter or I'm going to leave you to Russell and James by yourself when you try to explain why we are suddenly engaged." I grinned evilly.

His face paled and blanched, "yeah you're right, let's go." He grabbed my arm and dragged me into the toy store.

I stopped in the doorway and gazed about amazed. Toy air planes flew through the room, kids of all ages ran about their hands filled with toys, faces filled with joy. I smiled up at Winter, who was watching me intently.

I reached up and touched my face, "what do I have something on me?"

He chuckled and shook his head, running his hand through his shaggy hair, a gesture I was quickly becoming familiar with, "no sweetheart, you don't have anything on your face."

Tingles warmed my skin at the use of the endearment; I smiled softly and looked away.

I grabbed Winter's wrist and walked out of the store, we almost ran into an elderly couple walking hand in hand. "Oh excuse us" I exclaimed, stepping back.

My back hit Winter's chest and he wrapped an arm around my waist to steady me, the old woman smiled knowingly up at us, her pale blue eyes kind. "Young love these days Herb, isn't it grand?" she sang to her husband next to her, who grinned and nodded.

I flushed and gripped Winter's forearm, "ma'am..." I started.

Winter cut me off, "shh let them dream." He whispered his mouth pressing hotly to the shell of my ear. Shivers slinked down my spine; I nodded wordlessly, leaning back more slightly relishing in the warmth of his body against the harsh cold of the city air.
