Honestly, I was completely and totally bored. Crystal was gone for a weekend in Boston with Nathan. As happy as I was for her, I was going to miss her a lot. Felix was on a business trip, so he wouldn't be here to... entertain me. This was going to be a very uneventful week. I had work to do; maybe I could get ahead in my work so I wouldn't have to do it later. Or I could watch The Notebook ten or fifteen times and eat a tub of ice cream with a spoon. Yes, I knew how I was spending my week.
While in the middle of Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams' torrid love affair, my cell phone rang. I put aside the tub of rocky road I was eating and picked up.
"Hello, beautiful," came Felix's crooning voice.
"Hey!" I exclaimed, happy to hear his voice. "I thought you were on a business trip!"
"They decided not to make me go, which is good because I have better things to do with my time. Like...you, perhaps." I blushed and giggled a little bit. "Anyway, I thought we could get out of the city for a while, maybe take a quick camping trip up at the state park for a few days?"
"I would love to, but... I've never been camping," I confessed.
"No matter," he grinned. "I've only got one sleeping bag, so we'll have to share... if that's okay," he pitched his voice lower.
"That's fine with me," I smiled.
"All right, you can pack up and I'll pick you up later today," he grinned. "Love you." He hung up.
The next day, we had set up camp in the middle of the state park. Felix's tent sat perkily beneath a tree, and a few feet away he had started a fire. I wasn't exactly the outdoorsy type, but I didn't mind sleeping outside. We were on the same campsite as a few other couples, but they didn't really talk to us much. Felix put his arm around me and nuzzled his nose into the side of my neck. "I love you," he whispered into my ear. I merely giggled huskily as he nipped the tender skin there.
There was an empty clearing on the map a few miles away from the campsite, and nighttime was falling fast.
"How do you feel about a little privacy?" I smiled, kissing his lips lightly.
"I'd love some," he smiled. I stood, grabbed his hand, and twenty minutes later we were in the clearing of the forest. Without wasting any time, Felix grabbed my hips and pulled me into a tantalizing kiss. Slowly, we sunk to the dirt forest ground, blanketed only by the velvet night sky. The evening was pleasantly warm, to my surprise, and had I been paying more attention, I would have been able to see the starry sky much better than I could in the city. Soon our clothes lay in a pile beneath one of the nearby trees, leaving us completely naked.
I lay on top of him, his warm body the only thing between myself and pure nature. His hand dragged from my hip to the back of my neck, pulling my head down into another kiss. My hands trailed from his sides up to the back of his neck, kissing every part of his skin I could reach. The hand that wasn't on my neck carefully slipped between my legs and began to rub me, making my hips roll against his enticing fingers. I bit down on the skin above his collarbone, which he took to mean, "I need you now."
He rolled over my exposed body, shielding me from the cool night breeze. My eyes closed slowly as he trailed kisses down my neck and shoulders. I pushed my hips into Felix's as I bit his shoulder urgently. He seemed to nod in understanding, and with a bit of adjustment, he slid into me easily.
It was a strange experience, making love to Felix with nothing between our bodies and the soft ground. To anyone else, it would probably have been uncomfortable and awkward, but with the two of us, it was just short of magical. Since my hands weren't exactly free for me to pinch myself, I had to rely on the soft nips and sighs to make sure I wasn't dreaming. A few times we had to completely freeze because Felix thought he heard footsteps, but they turned out to be squirrels or rustling leaves or something- not that we cared enough to go check.
I felt myself tighten around him and predicted the pulsing sensation moments before it- and I- came. My eyes squeezed tight, and since we weren't in public, I felt justified in the loud gasp that escaped my throat. The noise alone made Felix shudder, and a second later, he sighed and collapsed, enveloping me with his warmth. As we lay there, panting, he nuzzled into my neck and whispered a soft "I love you" that was only distinguishable by the movement of his lips on my flushed skin. I sighed and kissed the top of his head.
The stars glittered gaily above us.
