There are some people you look at and wonder, "How the hell did they get to be this way?" That's what I see when I look at her. She's my best friend, my sister, my twin soul. I love her, but she breaks my heart sometimes. Life is cruel to her; she does everything she does with the best intentions, and still everything turns out badly.

Like now. I watch him draw her close, kiss her forehead. She lays in his arms and I can tell that she's never felt safer. He's got a serene smile on his face that I've never seen before, a rare display of pure emotion. He wouldn't dare hurt her, even if his life depended on it.

It started out with a kiss, how did it end up like this? It was only a kiss, it was only a kiss…

The song plays in my head as I watch him hold her to his heart. She leans up to kiss his lips ever so softly.

I wonder what her boyfriend will do.

Oh, shit. Her boyfriend.

Her boyfriend cheated on her for six months. They broke up and got back together. He has been trying so hard to regain her faith, but he's still kind of an asshole to her.

But a good relationship can't start on fractured trust. And he's being an asshole anyway.

I look on at the illicit couple and the big question comes to mind.

Does she leave the one she loves for the one she likes? Does it make a difference if the one she loves is still an asshole and the one she likes would give her the world?

Should I tell him?

No. Serves him right.

But who's the cheater now…?
