What is love?

Is love what you feel when your breath hitches, your heart flutters, your cheeks redden?

Is love what you feel when you count the sparks that jump between the tips of your fingers and theirs, between your eyes and theirs, between your lips and theirs?

Is love deeper than that?

Is love a sense of never wanting to let them go? When you're holding them in your arms and wishing the world would stop right there?

Is love a sense of longing, when you can't stand to be without them? When the world is cruel, and all you really want is for them to be there?

Is love deeper than that?

Is love knowing that they'll catch you when you fall, and knowing that you'd do the same for them?

Is love knowing that they accept you for who you are, and that they wouldn't have you any other way? Knowing that you don't want them to change?

Is love deeper than that?

Is love being able to grow with them, to adapt to their changes, and in turn for them to adapt to yours?

Is love when you want only the best for them? When your heart aches and breaks for their pain, even when the sun shines on their life?

Is love deeper than that?

Is love losing yourself to them, the two of you becoming one, your personalities bleeding together like watercolors? Is that love?

Is love giving, and not getting? Giving, and expecting not to get? Giving, and being okay with being the only one giving? Is that love?

Is love when you can't get them off of your mind, when you can't focus on anything but them? When you don't particularly care that you're not getting much done, as long as they love you back? Is that love?

Is love deeper than that?

Where does love begin and end?
