Angel

Here lays me.

I watch myself from above.

The angel who once surrounded me

is gone.

She's been gone for awhile now.

Here I float along.

Watching my unclaimed maimed

body lay still and dirty.

I'd weep if I had tears.

But they cling to my pale sallow

cheeks.

If I were a dream.

I'd be a flower.

Light.

Happiness.

But I am a nightmare.

Floating along, as the shell of me lays dirty

and broken to its core.
