FAIR LADY ALICE

(Medieval-style ballad about a girl and a werewolf. Please comment nicely!)

Fair Lady Alice, Fair Lady Alice,

Where are you going this chill autumn night?

I long to gather the last sweet berries,

While the cold silver moon shines full and bright.

Fair Lady Alice, Fair Lady Alice,

What do you see in the moon's icy glow?

A beast in the shape of a snarling wolf,

His eyes red as fire and his fangs white as snow.

Fair Lady Alice, Fair Lady Alice,

Why do you stand in such frozen dismay?

My gaze is caught by the gaze of the wolf,

His eyes prevent me from running away.

Fair Lady Alice, Fair Lady Alice,

Who has stolen your soul and taken your life?

A beast with a kiss that makes death into bliss,

And a fair living maid his wolf-beast wife.
