Unicorn Glen

Gilded spears atop

Delicate white brows

Nimble feet dance upon

Carpet of green.

Squeals of anger from youngsters in mock battles

Interrupt soft nickers of

Mothers to babies.

Soft mist begins to dissipate as

Sun finds its way through

Leafy canopy

Cool, clear water laughs

Its way over rocks

Into a still pool

Thick, leafy walls

Shut out the world.
