My Lady Fair (Revamped)
If I had but just one wish
I'd wish to see my lady fair
To kiss her cheek
To hear her speak,
Her words, so sweet
To run my fingers through her hair
Oh I would travel the lands abroad,
And cross the oceans far
Alas, oh no,
It cannot be so
I'm far, not near
Always gone, and not here
Taken away by war and famine's mar
How does my fair lady see in me any good?
I struggle in vain,
Yet all I cause you is pain,
I try, and fail, and again once more try
Yet still My Lady you continue to cry,
Such a terrible sort I've turned out to be.
Please tell me what is it you still see in me?
