"What's wrong with you?" The tall black - haired man of 22 asked gruffly.
"I'm sorry." The girl said through her tears.
The two people were on break in the crew-room of McDonalds.
The girl sat on the large brown leather couch. Her hair was out of its pony-tail and regulation hat. She sat curled in the corner of the couch; tears staining her face and rumpled issued work shirt.
The tall man stood at the door, just entering the room. Bracelets lined his wrists and arms as he held onto the door.
"I'm sorry." She said again, brushing the tears from her eyes.
There was silence among the two as he moved closer to the couch.
"What's wrong?" He asked again.
She hesitated as he sat down next to her.
"He broke up with me." She finally let out, tears following her words.
He sighed as he sat back.
"I, I don't understand, Wolff." She choked out. "What's wrong with me?" She asked the older boy.
Wolff held her gaze as she continued to cry.
"Come here, Kenzie." He let out slowly, opening his arms to her.
Pulling her to him she finally let out a strangled heart-wrenching sob as she curled into his embrace.
There was silence among the two except for Kenzie's sobs and their co-workers at work.
"He didn't even bother to tell me in person." She whispered behind her sniffles. "He told me through a text."
Wolff just shook his head in a disappointed fashion, as Kenzie stayed curled up in his embrace; her head on his chest.
Suddenly the door opened with a loud bang.
"Hell...oo..." Brooke yelled, her voice gradually quieting as she took in the scene before her.
"He broke up with you?!" The blonde shouted, outrage and surprise lacing her voice.
Without as much as answer or a good-bye Brooke marched out slamming the door loudly behind her.
"Wow...that was loud." Wolff responded sarcastically.
Kenzie laughed as her tears dried, still in the warming comfort of Wolff's arms.
