A/N: R&R Please? Pretty please? With cherries on top?

Faige's P.O.V.

The lights in the city were dimming down, like they always do at night. I grabbed my skateboard and headed to the skate park. My parents were asleep in their room because they had to work tomorrow. I got out the door and down the driveway then dropped my skateboard and rode it the two miles to the park.

"Fai! I thought you weren't going to make it." Cody called to me from the rail.

"My parents took forever and a day to get to sleep." I skidded to a stop in front of the rail. Cody finished his trick and landed in front of me. We did our little hand shake thingy and then I went over to the ramps.

I gained some momentum and flew in the air doing a 180.

"Nice one Fai." Skid was waiting for his turn on the ramp.

"Thanks Skid." Skid's real name is Benjamin hence the reason we call him Skid.

There's five of us including me, Cody (my best friend), Skid (My very favorite), Owen a.k.a. Razor (second), and last but not least, Marcus.

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday night at eleven thirty we meet at the Wesley Skate Park to skate, duh. Sometimes we just hang though, but it's a very rare occasion. We live, breathe, and sleep skateboarding.

Skid and Marcus had to drop out of school at 15 to help support their family and their now 16. Cody, Razor, and I still attend school. We're all 16, Skid is the oldest followed by me, Cody, Marcus, and Razor.

I stopped my board at the edge of the grass and fell on my back to look at the stars.

"Whatcha thinking about?" I heard a deep voice asked me.

"The stupid rents," I sat up and Skid sat down next to me.

"What'd they do now?"

"They're forcing me to meet this new rich kid and I think they're trying to set me up with him!" I groaned and fell on my back again, my long dark brown hair fanned around my head.

"Uh, Fai, I hate to break it to ya, but you're also a rich kid. Isn't that what rich kids do?"

"Unfortunately," I muttered.

"Don't let it stress ya out. Just go along with it and it will be over in no time." He laughed and then stood up, I followed him.

"Thanks Skid, your right."

"Always am."

I laughed and shoved him toward his board. We left the skate park because it was getting late. When I got home I opened the front door to find our butler, Will about to go up to his room for the night.

"Miss Faige, have any fun?" he asked. Will knows when I go out and is cool enough not to tell my parents like other butlers would.

"Yeah, tons. I'll see you in the morning Will."

"Good Night, Miss Faige. Hide evidence well." he said smiling a little bit. I looked down at my pants and they had holes in them.

"Crap, those were brand new." I muttered as I ran upstairs. I got in the shower to take out the tangles in my hair and dirt from my face. Afterwards I walked to my vanity and brushed through my hair.

The next morning I woke up to the sound of my mother on the phone. She knocked on my door and called for me to wake up.

"Faige, it's time to wake up, dear." She opened the door and came in. "Good heavens, Faige! What did you do last night?"

"Nothing, why?" I asked confused.

"You look like hell. You have really bad circles under your eyes. Did you forget you're meeting young Icarus today?"

"Not in the least, mother. I remember very well, that I'm meeting Icarus."

"And of course you're going to be wearing a dress for the man, correct?"

No!!! "Yes, ma'am." I muttered.

"Good. He'll be here at eleven. Be ready." She turned to leave but hurried and turned around. "Oh, I forgot to tell you, you'll be spending the whole day with him."

I knew it! "Lovely, I'll be ready."

She turned and left. Once I knew she was away from the door I buried my head in my pillow and screamed.

I got out of bed and walked over to my closet that was almost as big as my room. There was a secret section for all my tom-boyish clothes since mother doesn't approve of that style. The rest of the closet is filled with clothing my mother does approve of. I went to the summer dress section and closed my eyes and picked, it's not like I'd like any of them anyway.

I ended up picking a pink and orange one that was strapless and hung just above my knees.

I groaned inwardly and went to the bathroom to take a shower and try to get the dark circles under my eyes to disappear. Some did go away, others, darkened.

Okay, so I may be exaggerating a little.

I did my hair in little ringlets, and about puked. I usually like it straight with my bangs hanging my face. Now my bangs were pinned neatly back and there wasn't a hair out of place. Then I proceeded to put my make up on. I did it in light shades of pinks; I was surprised that it even looked good. I'm not used to wearing makeup, let alone putting it on.

When I was finished I actually looked like I belonged to live in this hell they call the upper class.

I walked down the hall, my heels making a click, click, click sound on our tiled floor. When I descended the stairs, my mother and three people I didn't know where sitting in our gigantic living room talking.

I'm guessing it was Icarus and his parents.

I walked into the room and my mother ran over to me. "Faige! I want you to meet Mr. and Mrs. Baldwin, and their son Icarus."

I plastered a fake smile on my face and shook all of their hands. "It's a pleasure to meet you all."

My eyes wander over to Icarus. He was actually extremely handsome.

Did I just that? Ugh, my parents are rubbing off on me.

Anyway, he was tall-around six feet-, had light brown hair that was neatly combed, and painfully beautiful hazel eyes.

"The pleasure is ours." Mr. Baldwin replied.

"Well, you kids have fun." My mom pushed us toward the door.

He held out his arm and I took it gracefully, only because my mother was watching.

Once we got out the door I ripped my arm from his.

"Okay, this is how it's going to go down. You will not touch me unless I asked to be touched, and please, don't question my authority.

He stared at me flabbergasted. "Uh, okay."

Good boy. "Thank you." I muttered.

"So where are we going?" He asked timidly.

"I don't know. We can just walk around town for all I care. So in other words, you choose."

"Walking sounds good to me."

"Whatever." We started walking down Main Street.

Before I realized it, we were in front of the skate park and all the guys were there. Only Cody has seen me like this! I need to hide!

"Hide me!" I ducked behind Icarus.

"What? Why?"

"I said don't question my authority. Please." It was too late though, they already saw me. "Ugh, never mind."

"Fai?" Skid walked over and looked up me up and down. All the guys were behind him doing the exact same thing. Well, except Cody.

"Hey, guys." I said nonchalantly as if they weren't drooling over me.

"Whoa..." I heard Razor whisper.

"What are you doing?" Marcus asked.

"Just walking,"

"Who's he?" Skid nodded his head in the direction of Icarus.

"Icarus, that rich kid I was telling you about."

Realization lit up Skids face. "Oh, well, how 'bout you guys hang out with us?"

"Good idea Skid." They all walked over to the park with me behind them. I noticed Icarus wasn't following.

"What are you doing?" I asked while walking over to him.

"I think maybe I should just go back to my house."

What? No! If he goes home mother will find out and then I'll be dead.

"What? Why?"

"Well, you obviously don't want me around..."

Shit, now I have to apologize. "Look, I'm sorry I was so bitchy, it's just I don't like my parents controlling what I do, and they do it anyway."

"No one likes their parents controlling them. I don't either."

"Okay, so were good?"

"I guess, but are we really going to hangout with them?"

"Why wouldn't we?" I asked confused.

"Well, it's just, they're... they're..."

"They're middle and lower class, I'm well aware of that."

"It doesn't bother you?"

"Hell no, I'd rather be with them than any upper class snobs."

"Er... ok."

Wait... maybe he took offense to that... "I mean..." I tried to explain.

"It's ok,"

We stood there for about three awkward seconds, and then I turned and walked to the skate park with him right behind me.

"What exactly do you do here?" He asked confused.

"Well if I wasn't wearing this ridiculous out fit and I had my skateboard I'd show you, but seeing as that I don't you'll just have to watch and learn."

We walked over the grass to watch everyone skate. I wished so badly that I would've brought extra clothes, and my skateboard.

Skid was on the largest ramp and caught me watching him so he winked and did a 360.

Cody was on the rail, like always, it's his favorite. Razor was on the little ramp his blonde hair hidden by his beanie. Marcus was on the ramp next to Razor.

"You don't normally wear things like that?" Icarus asked out of the blue.

"Never, that's why the guys were gawking at me when they saw me. Only Cody has seen me like this."

"And you didn't want them to, that's why you said hide me?"

"Yeah, it's embarrassing." Out of the corner of my eye I saw Skid coming over here so I quickly changed the subject. "So how old are you?"

I know I'm so suave.

"Uh, seventeen," As he said this Skid was standing right next to me.

"Hey, uh, Fai? Can I talk to you for a second?" Skid asked uncertain.

Uh, I never heard him say that to me... "Yeah." I started getting up and he held his hand out to help me up.

We walked a little bit farther away from the park and then he shocked me.

"You look really good." He said as if he didn't mean for that to come out.

I blushed ferociously which was so embarrassing. "Uh, thanks..." Then I laughed, "Is that all you wanted to talk about?"

Then he blushed, "No! I was just wondering about that Icarus kid."

"What about him?

"Well, I don't know, what do think about him?" He was acting really weird.

"He's actually not that bad, a little naïve, maybe."

"Oh, ok." And with that he turned and stalked off back to the par. What was with him? I've never seen him act like this before.

I walked slowly back to where Icarus was sitting on the grass watching people skate.

When I got there he turned, "You have got to teach me how to do this!"

I laughed, "Alright... but you asked for it. It's not the easiest thing to learn."

"I can do it."

"Wait one more thing."

"What?"

"You can't tell my parents, or yours."

"I know! I'm not stupid."

I laughed. "Alright, it's a date."

Skid's P.O.V.

What's wrong with me?! I've never felt this way before. Why did Faige have to wear that damn dress! She's got my thoughts all jumbled.

Something snapped in me when I caught her watching me on the ramp.

I felt this sudden urge to just want to talk to her, and not that Icarus kid she was laughing with.

Before I knew what I was doing, my feet were walking toward her, but she already saw me coming so I couldn't turn around.

"How old are you?" I heard her ask.

I started walking faster.

"Seventeen." He answered.

"Hey, um, Fai, can I talk to you for a second?"

She looked confused, probably from my tone, I didn't sound like myself. "Yeah."

She started getting up and was having trouble because those heels she was wearing so I held my hand out to help her.

We walked over to a tree that was a few feet away from the park and then I blurted out, "You look really good."

Then she did something I don't think I've seen Faige do. She blushed a deep red and averted her hazel eyes to the ground. "Uh, thanks..." A few seconds later she laughed and said, "Is that all you wanted to talk about?"

Then I blushed! "No!" I had to come up with something because I really had no reason for why I wanted to talk to her. "I was just wondering about that Icarus kid." Which was the last thing I wanted to know about but it worked.

"What about him?"

"Well, I don't know, what do you think about him?" This I did want to know.

"He's actually not that bad, a little naïve, maybe." All the sudden I felt fiery rip through me.

Oh my god, I was jealous! "Oh, ok." I turned away quickly so she wouldn't see my face.

How could I be jealous? I never felt anything for Faige before today, and that was probably because of the god damn dress!

I walked over and picked up my skateboard then I heard something that basically broke my stupid heart.

"It's a date."

Faige's P.O.V.

I returned home at three-thirty with Icarus, Cody, Marcus, and Razor. Skid disappeared, and wasn't answering his cell phone, which worried me because he always answered his phone. At least when I called he did.

I knew mother wouldn't be home so I decided to bring the guys over with me.

"Jesus, Fai! Your house is huge!" Marcus exclaimed. "Did you hear that? It echoed!"

We all started laughing and listened to the echoes. Even Icarus laughed along with us. He was actually a nice guy and the guys seemed to really like him so far.

"Where's Skid?" Cody asked me. Everyone turned to me expectantly. Like I was supposed to know?

"I don't know. He was talking to me and then he disappeared."

"Call him, see where he is." Marcus said.

"I've tried. He won't answer my calls." and it's worrying me. He always answered my calls just in case I was in trouble or something.

"Don't worry about him, Fai. He can handle himself." Razor said.

"I know, I know, I just still worry sometimes."

My parents got home that night and Icarus and the other guys left, before they even knew they were there. I was still wearing the dress and I grabbed my skateboard and switched my heels for sneakers. It still looked cute I thought. After I was all ready, I skateboarded over to Skid's house.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

"Hey, Faige." Skid's mom answered the door.

"Hi, Mrs. Collins, how are you?"

"I'm doing well, Faige, how may I help you?"

"Is Benjamin home?" it felt so weird saying Benjamin instead of Skid.

"Yeah, he's in his room. Go ahead, sweetie."

"Thanks, Mrs. Collins." I walked past her and went down the hall to Skid's room.

I tapped on the door and heard a quiet "Come in". I opened the door and Skid was sitting on his bed. He looked up at me and then down at his hands.

"What do you need, Fai?" he said kinda harshly.

"I don't necessarily need something."

"Well, then, what do you want?"

"Are you okay, Skid?" I asked quietly.

"I'm fine Fai. Is that all you want?"

"Skid, something is wrong and I'm not leaving until you tell me what." he got up and came to stand in front of me.

"Fai, I promise, there is nothing wrong with Me." he pulled me closer and hugged me. It felt so right to be in his arms. I've hugged him before, I've hugged every one of them before but the only one it really feels right with is Skid.

"Promise? There's absolutely nothing wrong with you?" I asked, still in his arms.

"I promise. I'll go up and visit you tomorrow."

"Okay." he hugged me tighter for a second and then he let me go. I turned to the door and shut it silently behind me.

"Leaving so soon, sweetie?" Mrs. Collins asked.

"Yeah, I've got to get home. It's getting late."

"Okay, come back and visit soon, Faige."

"I will, I promise." she waved at me and I smiled and walked out the door and grabbed my skateboard and rode home.
