A Moisty Day

It is a wet day's sound that dribbles my thoughts

The rustling leaf of an enchanted breeze distracts

Smog's clarity of my mind

As moody weather generally impacts

But in the sunshine of summers, the rain is welcomed

Smell of cluttered classrooms, most of us turn in doors,

Pattering tin roofs are a feint humming

And hail we hail with childish awes

It's a pleasant confusion of people use to shiny skies

Drips on the foggy petals, the birds huddle away

Our faces damp and eyelash caress each drop

I am, indeed, quite happy on a moisty day.
