First chapter of The Blood Series. I am not sure how this will work. I will just role with it.

The Blood Series

Chapter 1

My Blood.

I tested the strings on my guitar. They played as well as the day I got it. I strummed a few cords as I waited for my band to be called up. It was our second gig and we were doing well. I don't mean to brag but...we rock ass!

The crowd cheered as the band finished and our band was called up. I took a deep breath and walked out, the black and red Rickenbacker glinting in the lights.

"We are going to play a song that our guitarist favors" our lead singer, Chris Dallon, said smiling back at me. I smiled back and began to play. Listening to the notes roll away from the guitar.

My eyes are open wide
By the way I made it through the day
I watch the world outside
By the way I'm leaving out today

I smiled as Chris sang, he had a wonderful voice and looks to back it up. He had a few girls faint in front of him before. He had dark brown hair that framed his face, his bright blue eyes, so different from his hair. Seen through the open jacket were his six pack abs. I was always jealous of the way he got the girls before me. But I guess he is just better looking than me.

I just saw Haley's Comet, she waved

Said, "Why are you always running in place?"

Even the man in the moon disappeared

Somewhere in the stratosphere

Me? I have black hair that falls in front of my face and the most unnaturally bright green eyes you have ever seen. I don't have any facial blemishes and I am well toned and tan. I am not the type of person who excorsizes but I have a huge matabalism, I can eat anything and not gain a pound.

What was that? I felt a sting on my forehead. I shake my head and just not worry about it while I am playing.

Tell my mother, tell my father I've done the best I can

To make them realize this is my life, I hope they understand

I'm not angry, I'm just saying

Sometimes goodbye is a second chance

Please don't cry one tear for me

I'm not afraid of what I have to say

This is my one and only voice

So listen close, it's only for today

There it was again, that sharp sting, I look around and find a man staring at me. His eyes are as bright as mine. They speak to me, calling something deep inside me. I shake my head, no that is ludicrous, it is just some weird guy. I ignore him.

Again, this was getting annoying. This guy was going to get it after the show.

Here is my chance

This is my chance

When we hit that last note something happened...nothing. No applause. No booing, just nothing. I looked around and saw that my band was frozen in the last places they were as they finished the song.

I looked toward the crowd and found them frozen. All except the strange man, who was slowly walking toward him "Jason Blood" he said, his voice smooth and relaxing. How had he known my full name? I hadn't even told my band that I was named Blood.

Not that I was ashamed, from what I learned from my late grandfather, our name went back generations, to a powerful kingdom. It was supposed to be a kingdom of magical humans. You know the kind. The Witches and Wizards. But my family was supposed to be different then what is portrayed today. They could create and take away light with a flick of their wrist. They could mesmerize with their eyes and words.

My grandfather always said "It is in the blood, always in the blood"

If I did believe that stuff, I would believe that this guy was trying to hypnotize me with 'magic'. I snorted "Look, I don't know who you are or what is going on, but dude, you better get the he-"

I was thrown back and slammed into the back of the stage. What the hell was that shit? Did he shoot me? I didn't feel any wounds except from the pain in my back.

It is in the blood

Something whispered to me and I felt a weightlessness over take me. I felt electricity charge up my spine and looked at the mirror on the wall near me. What I saw made me gasp.

My hair was slicked back and on my forehead was a intricate design of strange letters that etched themselves across my temples and down the side of my face. My green eyes were startling as they crackled with visible energy.

I checked myself out, a black trench coat covered and dark red shirt and black baggy pants. I was amazed, this transformation had changed my clothes. I looked toward the man and saw his startled look.

Dark Chord

This time I paid attention to the voice and looked at my guitar, it looked the same, but the strings were black as night. I played a few strings and felt the pulse of energy.

"My turn" I grinned as I played a chord. A black whip of energy lifted him up and tossed him to the ground, I noticed he passed through the frozen people. No. Not frozen, we are in a different dimension. I didn't know how I knew it. I just did.

I began to play chords as fast as I could, whips of energy beat the man back before they stopped and I saw a green whip travel toward me.

Sheild String

I looked down and saw a string glow softly and plucked it. The dark energy from before jumped up and blocked the attack. My blood was boiling and I could feel it. I began to play a song, it was the best I had ever played. The song rang and knocked him back even more. The man stumbled up and pointed at him "My master will see you dead" he grumbled and vanished.

I laughed and felt the power recede back into my body and I felt exauhsted as I stepped back into the spot I had been in before the dimension change. I felt it this time, a sudden rush and a 'pop'.

Screaming and yelling of the crowed filled the air as I smiled and bowed with my band.

I walked backstage with them and smiled at Chris "Hey, I have a new song I want to run my you" I said "All you have to do is figure out the words to fit it"

Chris looked at me "Really? Let me hear it. What is this song called?"

I began to play for him, noting the shock of energy I got when I played it. I watched as his and my othe bandmates eyes lit up at the sound.

Chuckling, I looked at Chris when I finished "Well?"

He laughed "That was great" he said "Come on, what is the name?"

I grinned and thought about it "I know the perfect name"

Flipping my guitar onto my back, I smirked

"My Blood"
