First poem ever! It was an assignment for English class in sixth grade. The teacher gave us the sentance "The best mistake I've ever done..." and told us to write a poem with it

The best mistake I've ever done

When I hold you in my arms
I feel your warm body.
When I look into your eyes,
I see gracious light.

The best mistake I've ever done
is loving you tonight
But my wish is loving you forever.

When you smile, everything fades.
It's just you and me.
Me and you.
And no one else...

The best mistake I've ever done
is loving you tonight
But my wish is loving you forever.

Now, my heart is in your prison.
You took it there
and I don't want to give you a reason
to stop. Not to take it away.

The best mistake I've ever done
is loving you tonight
But my wish is loving you forever.
