I grew up totally oblivious to who I really am. For seventeen years I had been living the life given to me instead of the life I was destined to live.

I'm Silver. I'm eighteen and a junior in high school. I grew up in a very small town in Maryland. I live with my mom, dad, and my dog Biscuit.

My life sounds pretty average, I know. And that's because it was. I was living a perfect normal teenage girl life. My life consisted of school, hanging out with my friends, boys, and shopping. As far as I knew I was ordinary: I was an honor roll student, I hung out with the cool kids, and like most girls my age I had an unhealthy obsession with the Jonas brothers.

But I'm far from ordinary. And I'm not like most girls.
