snarling like rabid male dogs,
fighting, holding onto their last bit of territory
kicking and screaming, going down in flames

what is left, if not violence, then what?
silence, pure and aching down to your very core.
what matters, if not bloodshed?

if i can be forgotten for something i did
and remembered in a grudge
i would agree in life

brutality is something not portrayed
but merely something shown
in the pages of stories
in the headlines of news

nothing is seen, nothing is felt
nothing but the purity of anger
in its finest form

violence to those who are violent
and the victims are left with nothing but silence
