How Far
Too much running without breath
Only looking for the sign of relief
Shove me down and knock me over
Just to give me a chance to breathe
It's ironic that I can bend my spine
I swear I only tell the truth from the heart
Thrown in a game of red rover
So unbalanced on this fine line
Friends are too scattered to keep
Rather keep running then stay with them
Their lack of communication lengthens
As trust in silence becomes key
My pace quickens only to avoid
The obvious in their intent to see
I notice and catch their ploys
To hear and to speak with me
Stopping for blunders and mistakes
My foot ticks with impatience
Breathing in and out hurts the lungs
Dare not to waste the intake
Give me energy give me life
Tell me to take and I will grab
Life is short for me alone
I am not willing to sacrifice
