It's the fear,
My dear

Gripping onto you tightly
And not letting go
Grasping hold of your mind
Not letting you know

The insanity is creeping closer
With greedy hands of bone
You know you're losing it
By the voice's tone

What is this feeling
That strikes so hard
Causes so much damage
And leaves you with nothing in the end?

It's the fear,
My dear

Trapped like an animal
With no voice to scream
No one to help you now
This is no dream

Darkness surrounds your vision
But you're not going blind
Blood seeps into your very pours
Forgiveness is hard to find

What is this feeling
That grasps your very core
Squeezes your very life source
And leaves you gasping for breath?

It's the fear,
My dear

Eyes rattling nervously
Hands entangled in one another
Fingers twisted and breaking
No family, sister, nor brother

'Till you realized
It's all in your head
And there's no escape
As you sat and bled

What is this feeling
That leaves you cold
Lifeless, alone, helpless
Begging for the light in a world of darkness?

It's the fear,
My dear

It's merely the fear.
