Test halt voices, almost.

The teacher's voice reigns silently.

Flip-flops flap against dirty linoleum,

Metal rings on purses clink.

Cloth rubs against hard plastic,

Calculator's buttons get punched quickly.

Desks rattle and creek

The door squeaks open then slams shut.

Papers crinkle and pass

From students to teachers hand.

Graphite scratches and wears down

Paper slides across the desks.

The air conditioner kicks in

And noses start to sniffle.

Pencils clack and folders slap

Books flip- tests are over.
