Some lines are drawn clearer than others. Near certainties are presented in dark hues that contrast starkly against the blinding brilliance of the unknown. Many lines seem barely visible, thin markings running together in an indistinguishable mess of possibilities. I see the makings of greatness, but also of failure. These lines trace back to reinforced ambition and confidence or, in the case of failure, feelings of inadequacy and meaninglessness, each perpetuated by a similar series of successes and failures.
