Hi guys, sorry for not updating last Friday, I was out of town. You can expect an update the coming Friday though. =D.

Thank you so much bookzealous for reviewing, I really enjoyed your feedback and I'm really glad you like the story and characters. I added more dialogue between the two and I'll try my best for it to not fall into the many clichés. I really hope it doesn't too much. But thank you so much for your review.

Enjoy! And everyone please do review so that I know if anyone's reading my story, likes it…or has some suggestions for me. All reviews are appreciated =D.

Alexis

Blaze twirled the name on his tongue. The sound of that name was utterly intoxicating. Or maybe it was the woman inhabiting it.

"Well then, Alexis." Smiling, he lifted his cup as if it were a glass of wine, "To a not so merry Christmas."

"To a not so merry Christmas." She gladly returned his smile as her cup met his. Okay, so maybe he wasn't that bad of a guy, like he said. But for some reason, Alexis couldn't bring herself to trust him as much as she wanted. Maybe it was the fact that he barged into her home or maybe it was because of why he said he barged into her home. She didn't know. Sighing, she pushed her thoughts back to the corner of her mind, where they belonged.

"Good night Blaze, I think I'm going to head back to bed."

"Night" Her footsteps dyed off into the distance as the clock struck 1:40 a.m. Guess it was his bed time too. But instead of going to sleep, he turned on the television. There was no way he could sleep with such a heavy mind.

Half an hour passed and his mind was still no where near clear. To tell the truth, it was more confused. Alexis, she was just unbearably kind. He could feel a fire burning inside her eyes whenever she spoke or even moved. She trusted people so easily but not like an ignorant child. He liked that she's always blunt and to the point when she speaks. Blaze did find it rather amusing that the woman always spoke her mind and walked with a mature swagger in her step but could be cute like a kitten at the same time.

Speak of the devilRubbing her eyes, she appeared in the doorway looking more tired than ever. "What are you watching?" Blaze jolted on the couch as if he was caught in a murder scene.

"Uh…Sorry, I was just watching…um." He looked at her with heavy bags under his eyes.

"No, it's fine. Mind if I watch with you?" She smiled warily. "I can't sleep."

His eyes widened, "No, not at all." He moved over to make room for her.

Plopping herself beside him, she felt a bit awkward. Maybe it was just the thought of sitting beside an attractive man for the first time in months or the fact that said man was a rock star that many have lusted over. The springs creaked when she pulled some of the blanket towards herself. It was a really cold winter; then again it was always cold and snowy here. "What are you watching?" She repeated.

"Nothing really." He handed the remote to her, "Here."

Alexis flipped through some channels, eyes never leaving the TV screen. She settled for an old episode of The Simpsons since there was really nothing else to watch.

Deciding to break the silence, Blaze spoke. "So what's a girl like you doing home on Christmas Eve?" His famous smirk creaking up on his features.

A little bit irritated be his question, she looked at him. "No reason, come Christmas day, I just don't want to wake up naked in a cheap hotel room wondering what I did last night." He almost laughed at her straight forward response.

Almost.

"Where else would the true spirit of Christmas be found?" He smirked.

"You're sick." She said matter-of-factly.

She smiled. "How do you usually spend Christmas?"

Immediately, his smirk was replaced by a heavy frown. "How do you think a guy like me spends Christmas?"

Alexis shrugged, "I don't know, waking up naked in a cheap hotel wondering what you did last night?"

Laughing at her blunt accusation of him he answered. "No, but close…usually it's not a hotel room"

"So, just hung over in some poor old lady's apartment?" She raised an eyebrow at him.

"Please, you're not that old, and I'm not hung over." He changed the channel, completely irritated by Homer's voice right about now.

She rolled her eyes at him. "Please I'm hardly 23 yet."

"How much do you know about me anyways?" He sniffed and asked her bluntly.

Not noticing that he didn't exactly answer her question, she answered his. "Not much I guess. But from what I hear, a drunk, womanizing, egotistic lead singer in an over hyped band." He sucked his teeth.

Yeah, he just had to ask…

"Thanks…love ya too."

"But…" Looking straight into her eyes when she continued, his heart almost melted. She was looking at him with such adoring eyes that he knew he didn't deserve. He quickly looked away. "I also know that the media always over exaggerates things, and though it's only been about 2 hours since you came bursting in my patio, I don't that that…you're a bad guy…" She gave him a warm smile. Blaze squinted his eyebrows questionably at her and opened his mouth as if to say something but Alexis quickly turned her head back to the TV screen. "Besides, you haven't raped me, hurt me in any way or drank my eggnog. So congrats, you might have just made it on to my top 5 list already. I think that's a record."

Blaze laughed at the girl's weird quirks, he rather enjoyed them. For hours they just talked, about Christmas, food, television and the media…actually they talked about…everything. It was so easy just talking to her, forgetting all his worries, for the first time in years it actually felt like….Christmas. He felt safe and warm on a cold winter day, was that normal? But God won't even let him have that for more than day, now will he? Not focusing on the TV until the morning 5 o'clock news came on, they both immediately stopped talking when his face was plastered on the TV screen.

"…This man in his twenties, known as Blaze Roach was found missing five days ago. Police say he has had a history with loan sharks and other gang-related problems. The lead singer of Crude Voice5 was in rehab since October due to alcohol and drugs. Police are still investigating and say his disappearance could be related to these issues. The man is armed and emotionally unstable; citizens in the area are advised to lock all doors until the man is found. If you know any information please contact the police immediately because the man is dangerous and…"

Blaze could feel his heart sink, he couldn't hear anymore of this. Grabbing the remote from Alexis, he felt her practically jump from her seat. He turned off the TV and tossed the remote on the bed. His hands clenched, what was he to do now that she knew and what was she going to do now that she knew. Was she going to throw him out? Or call the cops? And they were finally kind of getting along…He looked at Alexis hesitantly, her eyes still transfixed on the black TV screen. He found that his mouth was dry when he tried to force words out, his voice sounding foreign to himself. "Alexis…?"

"What?" Her voice quiet and feeble.

"Listen, I…" He moved so that he could look at her directly, but upon his movement, she jerked slightly. Come to think of it, she looked so tense and…scared? She was scared of him. Realization sunk in his heart. She feared him, the only woman in history that he honestly enjoyed spending time with and was actually sincerely nice to him now feared him because of his stupid mistakes. He stood up from the couch causing Alexis to snap her head up to look at him with eyes filled with fear. It caused his heart to clench painfully.

Cursing, he disgusted himself. "I understand if you want me to leave" Her eyes widened when he spoke, "I should have told you everything, but I didn't and I shouldn't have dragged you into all of this." Her features softened, "but thank you for this, even if it was only for a little bit." Giving a little bit of a sad smile, he turned to leave, hoping that she didn't completely despise him for the scumbag he was.

But before Blaze could leave, he felt something tug the hem of his shirt. He turned around to see her kneeling on the couch holding on to him. Her head downcast, all he could see was the top of her head. Did she want to call the cops on him, why was she stopping him from leaving?

"What will happen if they find you?"

"I don't know." He replied monotony, his voice hoarse.

"Liar." She looked at him, and instead of fear in her eyes, he found worry and concern. "You know full well that they'd kill you." Her grip tightened as if she was determined not to let him go.

He chuckled nervously, "Yeah…maybe."

"You're despicable, you know that?" She suddenly said behind clenched teeth.

Blaze nodded, he knew. But to hear her say it; it all but crushed his soul. "Yeah…"

"I mean," She laughed and sniffed as tears clouded her eyes. "We even had that whole conversation about not trusting the media and how they were just little annoying girls constantly on your tail and yet now you think I would just throw you out to your death for all I know, after hearing half a minute of a news broadcast after we spent hours talking?"

He was speechless when he looked at Alexis's anger filled eyes "No, I-"

"If that's the person you think I am, then yes I am kicking you out and I hope to never see your face again." She wiped the tears that spilled onto her cheeks with her free hand. "Geez…"

Taken a back, he didn't know what to say. "Aren't you afraid…" He paused, thinking over what she'd just said "…That I'll hurt you?" His brows knitted in confusion.

"Yes." She answered honestly and pointed to the hand gun he was carrying. "I saw that when you came in, which was also why I didn't want you to stay." Blaze's eyes widened, she knew he was armed? Then why…? As if reading his mind she answered. "But, you didn't try to use it on me, even when I refused you so I thought 'hey, he can't be that bad, maybe he's just in some really deep shit.'" She laughed. "And, you haven't hurt me yet right?"

Blaze couldn't believe it; she was still willing to help him. He took her hand, still holding on to his shirt and gave it a tight squeeze. "I would never hurt you." His voice barely above a whisper.

Smiling she replied. "I know, so get your ass back here and stop going crazy or I'm going to have to shoot you with your own gun."

He reluctantly sat down and for the first time ever, he felt like a lost child…dazed in her warmth. "I promise this will be over soon and if you want me to leave anytime, I will."

Alexis rolled her eyes, "Geez, you're like my dead dog, first you want to stay in the room, then 5 seconds later you want out."

He couldn't help the smile that crept onto his face. "Woof."
