Not all of them are perfect.
"Hey Mel, are you okay? You seem upset" Camille asks as Melanie enters her friends living room.
"Brendan and I had a fight at lunch" Mel sighs and sits down opposite her friend on the floor.
"What about?" Camille asks.
"I'm not even sure. But in the end it was about us hanging out with the guys" Mel sighs with her head in her hands.
"Well we've known them since we were kids" Camille says.
"Yeah. Well it bothers him" Mel says, looking up. "What should I do?"
"Ignore it" Camille answers. "Now, shall we work on that project?"
"Yes" Mel answers and takes out her books.
"Mel!" Camille shouts in the hallway at school.
Mel turns around, with her hand over her cheek and watches her friend run up to her, her brown hair flying.
"Hey" Camille smiles. "What's up?"
"Nothing" Mel quickly answers.
"Okay" Camille says with a confused look on her face. "Why are you holding your hand over your cheek?"
"Uhmm... Because?" Mel answers but it sounds like a question.
"Take your hand down" Camille smiles.
"No" Mel says.
"Come on, take it down" Camille laughs.
Mel reluctantly takes down her hand to reveal a big, red, swollen mark on her cheek.
"What happened?" Camille asks in a serious voice, her green eyes as serious as her voice, none of the laughs from before left. "Tell me."
"He got mad" Mel whispers.
"Who? Brendan?" Camille asks.
Mel nods and tears start falling down her face from her blue eyes.
"I'm so sorry. Come here" Camille says and hugs her friend. "I'm gonna kick his ass!"
Mel just sobs into her friends shoulder.
"Come on, I'll drive you home" Camille says and leads Mel out of the school to her car.
"I'm gonna have a talk to Brendan" Camille says as she steps out of the car in the school parking lot.
"Cam..." Mel starts.
"No. I will" Camille interrupts and walks over to where Brendan stands with his friends in the morning sun.
Mel follows her, but keeps a few steps behind.
"Brendan" Camille says when she's right in front of him.
"Yeah?" he asks and looks down at her with his brown eyes, his brown hair in a mess.
"Do you know what you are?" she asks.
"Hot?" he asks, grinning at his friends and then he sees Mel. "Hey baby."
Mel just nods and tries to hide behind her blond hair.
"No. You're a sadistic, mean, asshole!" Camille spits. "What kind of person hits his own girlfriend?"
Brendan's face turns cold, the grin disappears and he glares first at Camille and then at Mel.
"Get lost" he says, voice dripping with poison.
"Gladly" Camille says and walks away.
Mel and Brendan shares a look, dangerous from his side and scared from her, before she hurries of after Camille.
"Why did you do that?!" Mel asks, panicked when they sit in English class.
"He needed to know it" Camile simply says.
"Well now he's really mad" Mel says quietly, looking panicked at the door.
"He'll calm down before you have to see him again" Camille says.
"Miss Ronalds would you like to hold the class?" the teacher, Mr Stephens, asks.
"No sir" Camille answers.
"Get in the car" Brendan tells Mel at the end of the day.
"I'm gonna go home with Camille" Mel answers.
"No, you're not. Get in the car!" Brendan hisses.
Mel gets into the car and she knows this can't be good. Brendan gets in and speeds of.
"Where are we...." Mel starts but stops when she receives a glare from Brendan.
When they come to the national park Brendan stops and gets out. Mel follows him.
"You really shouldn't have done that" he hisses and steps closer to her.
She takes a step backwards each time he takes a step closer.
"I'm sorry" she says, scared.
"It's to late" he answers coldly.
"Do you know what time it is?!" Mrs Jones snaps as she opens the front door.
"I'm sorry for disturbing you at this time of night ma'am. But are you the mother of Melanie Jones?" the police-officer outside the door asks.
"Yes, I am" Mrs Jones says, worriedly, Mel never got into any trouble.
"I'm very sorry to tell you this ma'am but... Your daughter has been found dead" the officer says.
"What?" Mrs Jones breaths.
"I'm terribly sorry ma'am" the officer says.
"How? What? When? Who would do that to my Mel?" Mrs Jones asks with tears falling down her face.
"We have a confession from a Mr Brendan Clark, he was found by the body" the officer answers.
"Brendan?" Mrs Jones breaths shocked.
A/N: I hope you like this. I wrote it in just a few days.
As you might have noticed my stories are pretty dark, and I'm really not that kind of person but.... I don't know what's happened to me but all of a sudden I'm writing these dark stories about death and break-ups and... Yeah well if you read them you'll understand.
Anyway, I hope you'll like this. I wrote this end because, although I don't know anyone who's died like this I know there are people who are killed by the person they love the most and who loves them.
The title is meant to be about relationships, not all of them are perfect.
Just so you know I didn't plan on blaming Camille or making her responsible for Mel's death in the beginning, it just ended up like that.
I wanna thank a great girl I know, Grace that's you, for helping me decide the end. Thanks for always helping me when I need it =)
Well I'll see ya =)
