I pretend to be happy

So you won't be sad

I'll try to forget

All things bad.

I pretend to feel fine

But it will soon cross the line

You won't care

when I'm not there.

When I'm at home

And all alone,

I'll wait for your call,

But you're away at the mall.

I thought you were my friend

But that has come to an end

All I can do know

Is just pretend.
