Oval faces in the crowds around me smile,
The lack of eyes disturb, for one short while
But the endless monotony of anonymity,
Drowns out all the world's individuality.

I imagine eyes on their sallow faces
Draw with fingers on those blank spaces
Still it doesn't seem to let them see
Open minds, open eyes will make them free.

In the end I leave the crowd behind
To return to a world lived in by my kind
The people with eyes truly there
In a world where none shall stare.
