so you do not come my way
home, like a holister bird.
shores heavy in fine gold
your winds tipped in diamonds.

take her to a place she can
dance all night. where street
lights holler and burst.

why are you so scared?
tell me did you ever
find that light?

blazoning and shifting.
because of her eyes.
have you seen it love?

it has been a week
and I am a wreck.
losing summer nights
to summer poetry
because summer boys
aren't around much.
do you understand?
I have thought of you
so that my chest is bruised!
I have not found a cure
for it.
I do not believe there is one.
