Let's start with the basics. My name is Lizz. I'm currently seventeen. I have only one sibling; an older brother. I have only my Dad left; as a parent. My mom had died when I was very young. I miss her.

But the important thing about my story is my brother. My brother is not a popular guy, although he does have a nice group of friends. And, by nice, I mean smoking hot! I couldn't help but want to tag around when they were over. They were just so pretty. I was nothing special however; just an average girl. Plus, to all of them I was a little sister too, which isn't the best of titles, even if there was only a year between me and my brother.

Anyways, back to my story, no more rambling... But no promises! Okay?

My brother has just turned eighteen. He is now alcohol legal, and he plans to get trashed tonight.

I giggled to myself absentmindedly. He was so amusing when he got drunk; you never knew what was going to come out of him. He was leaving me alone tonight; Dad was away on a business trip as per usual. He was rarely home these days since Mom... Left us. I exhaled, and held myself, trying not to let myself become upset. It hurt to think of her. Dad didn't really like staying around me because I reminded him so much of her. It made me feel good and bad in different ways. Good that I was following her ways, bad that I was upsetting my father.

Back to the point, sorry I get distracted easily, maybe I have ADHD. Hmmm...That is an interesting thought.

Look, there I go again. Damnit! So as I was previously saying before I was so rudely interrupted by myself; I was being left alone tonight, but only until Luke returned home, at some stage. Whilst he was out, I would probably go a little crazy, or weird. However, you'd like to put it when you have 'me-time'. I call it my crazy time because I never know what will happen. Nobody knows what will happen. Things could go down, or things might not go down. Once again I'm rambling. Back to the point; Luke is going out tonight to get pissed, but the more important part was that some of his friends were staying over afterwards but I'm not sure how many. Okay, I'll admit it; I was kind of excited to having the guysstaying over.

But nonetheless, I was waiting for Luke to let me know he was leaving so I could be by myself and "relax" with my 'me-time'.

Just then Luke appeared in my room. I smiled when I saw him. My brother and I got on shockingly well for siblings. We told each other almost everything. I mean I'm hardly going to tell him that I fancy the ass of his friends am I? That would just be an awkward and unnecessary conversation. Not to mention that I'd probably never be allowed drool over them again, which is pretty much a loss all around for me.

"Hey Sis," He said smiling. "How ya doing?"

"I'm doing okay," I smiled back. "Are you off now or...?" I paused letting him fill in the blank.

"Yeah." Was all he said before he suddenly continued, "Are you sure you're going to be okay tonight?" He looked worried, he didn't always fuss, but tonight was an important night for him. He was going to drink until he alcohol told him that he was able to dance, and no longer able to be the responsible older brother who could look after his sister if required to do so. He was concerned. I was touched.

"Of course, Lukey." I smiled at him reassuringly. "Don't worry about me, besides it isn't the first time you've left me alone before." I reminded him.

He was leaning against the doorway, arms crossed deep in thought obviously weighing his options.

"Don't worry. I have your number and some of your friends' too. Now," I paused. "Come in here and let me get a good look at you before you leave." I commanded.

He rolled his eyes and strolled into the room. I scanned him quickly. His outfit was alright, but something about it didn't click. Aha! It just clicked, not the outfit. Obviously!

"Swap your tie, for your pink skinny tie. It will bring out the splashes of pink on your jeans, and it will make your outfit that bit more." I told him with a click to emphasise the more.

He nodded and hurried out of the room to switch ties, without even questioning my 'ghetto' for once! He returned moments later, holding the tie in his hand, looking at it puzzled.

I sighed. "How did you manage to tie the last one and not this one?"

He shrugged, "Actually, I still had that one tied from the last time I asked you to knot it." He grinned at me sheepishly.

I snatched the tie from him and put it round my neck as I began to band the material together. "Y'know, I think I might as well be the certified male in this house, especially since you can't even tie a tie." He didn't bother with a reply. I like to believe it's because he agrees with me, however unlikely that may be.

"There!" I said as I adjusted his collar back around his Necker. "Fantastic." I was so proud of myself, I don't know why though, it's not like I put the whole outfit together, I just brought it together, thought I suppose that it just as good.

I smirked at my brother. "I got skills boy! You can't deny it." I bragged or sassed (if you prefer), glancing him over with my hands on my hips. Just then he attacked me with tickles. I squealed in shock and tried to get away from him but his grip tightened and he managed to secure both of my hands in his one big hand and attack me.

"Surrender!" He yelled at me. The nerve of this guy!

"NEVER!" I screamed back and shoved him with as much force as I could manage. He stumbled not suspecting that one. I caught him again whilst he was off guard and shoved him to the floor.

"Mwahahaha!" I laughed menacingly. "I win." I declared. "Now get your pitiful ass off my floor and get. You have places to be." I laughed as I gave him my hand to help him up off the floor. When he was up I pulled him into a hug and quickly released.

"I'll see you later. I'll be fine, no need to call me every ten minutes checking up on me, okay?" He nodded his agreement as he huffed and turned to go.

Once, I heard the front door click closed behind him, I immediately grabbed for my speakers. I blasted up the music as I started dancing around the house singing along to the music.

"... and I came here to making you dance tonight, I don't care about my guilty pleasure for you. Shutup because we won't stop, we're getting down 'til the suns coming up..."

I was exhausted by the time the fourth song was halfway through. I was jumping on my bed with my hairbrush though, so what else was to be expected?

"...Yeah what I'm saying is do you, do you want to lose it all? 'Cause this is more than just a dance hall drug. You can't wait to fall in love..."

I sank to the bed as the song came to an end, I needed a drink. I wandered downstairs and grabbed a drink of some diet fizzy, which in the case of my fridge is just a reach in and hope for the best, kind of a lucky dip type situation, otherwise I'd just stand there for over an hour contemplating my options, before coming to the conclusion that I couldn't come to a decision and end up not having a drink because it's just a bit too much effort on my behalf. But, that's completely normal, right? I leaned against the kitchen counter and relaxed. My energy was just burnt out.

I headed to the sitting room to go schmooze in front of the television, like the sims do; although to be perfectly honest I have no idea what the word 'schmooze' means and I just use it whenever I feel it may suit the action. I made myself comfy in no time at all and was soon flicking through the music channels searching for something good. At last I found something good to listen to, and snuggled down on the couch. It wasn't long before the soft, music lulled me to sleep…

I woke with a start as my brother fell in through the front door. It took me a moment to realise what had happened and gather my thoughts.

His friend, Parker, was there a second later attempting to catch Luke. I chuckled at the scene in front of me, the thought to help never occurring to me. Parker managed to get a grip on my brother and haul him to his feet. He looked at me then for the first time as if only noticing my presence. He gave me a quizzical look and gestured.

I copped on only seconds later. "First room on your right." I indicated to Parker. He nodded his thanks and dropped my brother to his room. How he managed to be coming here almost every week and more for the past year and forget where Luke's room was was beyond me.

"Where are the rest of them?" I quizzed Parker when he returned to the hall. Meaning the rest of my brother's friends.

He shrugged nonchalantly before answering me. "After they saw the state your brother was in they backed out of coming over." He chuckled to himself at the memory. "Looks like it's just you and me tonight, Liz." He continued. That was kind of a relief, because I'm sure my hair was a tangled mess, and I hadn't put on any make-up today, because I was having a hermit day. Then it hit me.

I gulped at the realisation.
Just me and Parker.
All alone.
And I fancied the pants off of him.

And my hair was a mess!
I sure hoped I didn't look like a complete fool.
