I walk down the street and, yes, I bring the weather with me. I've got sunshine on my side and I can dodge any puddle I'd rather not dance through. Sure, I can't escape the highs and lows in life--same as anybody else--but things fall together and things fall apart and thunder is as good for a body as a breathless summer sun.
I walk down the street and, yes, I bring the weather with me. So what if I'm a mind reader? I've got luck in my side pocket (the one with a hole) and I don't plan on getting to where I'm going--this being a journey and all. If I spend my last dollar on one last round with you, then life as a beggar will be well worth it.
I walk down the street and, yes, I bring the weather with me. I've got a touch of something special--same as anybody else--but I'm not one for glamour and adrenaline. I'm after music, lighting to set the mood, a warm meal and dancing till the sun comes up. I can smell rain on the wind, carry a tune, French braid my hair and love you for a good long while. I can get by on next to nothing and check off a new blessing every day. I've got joy in my body in a little black dress and I've got someone on each arm tonight. I walk down the street and, yes, I bring the weather with me.
