POV Klaire:

Well, I'm awake now. Hey lucky for me the doctors don't know what is wrong with me. Kailey fell asleep in the chair across the room. My brain is starting to process; I guess that's how you put it. I had a needle in my arm and an oxygen tube in my nose. I tried to remember what happened last night. I remember really warm hands against my body, and a guy calling out my name then I ended up here. How the hell is that possible?! I didn't realize I was crying until I accidently woke Kailey up. "Sorry." I said wiping the tears from my face.

"It's okay, what's wrong?" She got up and walked to my side.

"No freakin' idea."

"Well, you know they said you can go home tonight."

"I can? Thank goodness!" Just as I finished my sentence a nurse walked in with a food tray.

"Lunch ti-"

"Not hungry!" I yelled over her and rolled over and ducked underneath the blankets.

"I will just leave it here." she said putting it on the table. She gave Kailey a quick smile and left the room.

"I have some questions." Kailey said sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Well I don't have answers!" I snapped back at her. I guess I was afraid of what people would think.

"One question?"

"Fine."

"Who brought you here?"

"Some guy." Fragments of last night were forming in my head. The guy… He had brown hair and the most beautiful grey eyes. He also wore a green sweatshirt and something in my memory acted like I've known him for years.

"Did you know them?"

"No, and that's two questions."

"Whatever, I'll be back at seven to pick you up." Kailey said while walking out the door. I pulled the covers over my head and fell asleep.

I woke up when Kailey screamed because she dropped a cup of coffee on her lap. "Hot, hot, hot!"

I checked the clock a half an hour before I could go home. "Shut up Kailey."

"You shut up!" We're sisters we yell at each other like this all the time, get used to it!

"Whatever, I'm leaving." I pulled the needle out my arm and started to get out of bed.

"What are you doing!?" Kailey screeched.

"Leaving."

"Why?" she was pushing me back into the bed but of course I fought against her. "You know what, here," she threw an outfit at me, "go get dressed!"

I did as she said and went into the bathroom to get changed. "Kailey you might be annoying but you have great taste in clothes."

"Are you ready? I have all your things packed" she said.

"Yeah."

"Come on, let's go." We walked to our car in silence. Lucky for me our parents are in Aruba for a month. So, they can't freak out about what happened to me.

Kailey helped me into the car like I was a disabled person. "You know I'm okay right?"

"Yeah I know, I just wanted to make sure." We drove out of the parking lot and down the street, when a boy ran into the middle of the street. Ha-ha! Kailey just hit him.

"Oh my god!" she screamed as she ran out the door. I got out the car laughing hysterically. "Shut up this is not funny."

I looked down at the poor victim she just hit. He had light brown shaggy hair and a green sweatshirt that looked oddly familiar. He was passed out underneath the car. He opened his eyes (they were silver) and immediately looked at me.

"Klaire?" Was the first thing that came out of his mouth?

"Yes?"

"You know him?" Kailey asked.

"I don't know."

"Never mind that, are you okay?"

"Fine." He said slowly, while getting up a little dizzy.

"Where are your parents?"

"Ha-ha! Funny! Don't have any."

Something in my gut told me to watch out for this boy. I felt connected to him somehow. "Would you like to come with us?" I asked while Kailey jaw dropped so far it almost hit the floor.

"Sure."
