Hello, this is a little poem that I wrote, it's not great but I felt like it.

Just a little note:

I have a thing with odd numbers, I don't like them, but for some reason I decided to write this using 3 syllables and 3/5 lines a stanza. I don't know why. Anyway, read and review.

A Man

A small toy,
Torn apart.
A small child:
Whimpering,
Shaking.

You are weak-
Toughen up,
Be a man.

Heart of gold,
Purity,
Innocence-
Toughen up,
Be a man.

Eyes quiver,
Lips tremble,
A single tear.

"What is that?"
A question,
A harsh tone.
Fear inside,
Emerging.

Choke back tears.
Filled with fear,
Walks away.

He calls out,
"You are weak,
Toughen up,
Be a man."
Realization.

Heart of gold,
Gold to ice,
Shattering.

Purity,
Tainted soul,
Filled with pain.

Innocence-
Forever
Lost inside.

A small toy,
Torn apart.
A small child:
Emotionless,
Strange, blank eyes.

Quiet voice,
Echoing.
"You are strong,
You are brave,
You're a man."

No more tears,
No more fear,
No more pain,
Abandoned soul,
I'm a man.
