Ahahahahaha! Internet! So, after an insanely wimpy storm on Saturday night, my phone and internet lines were down. How lame. I was sosososo mad. I couldn't read your reviews or put up this. And then the lovely people from Quest(?) came and fixed it. Thank you, lovely people.
This is the end. Just to show you what happens and what could happen. Don't worry, they'll all be back in Blake's story. I PROMISE! Don't cry. Although, I admit, I was tearing up when I finished this piece. I love these two and I don't want to stop.
Sorry that this is so short. I think these two just wanted me to tell you what happens after and then to go away. Seriously, halfway, there was no inspiration. Just a little DO NOT DISTURB sign in my mind. I guess they just need some peace and quiet. So shhh, and enjoy.
We Are the Lucky Ones
Dated 3 years after Do You Love Me?
"Hey," Kiara said plopping down on the couch next to Reese. She stretched out and slid her feet onto his lap. As soon as she was comfortable, she went back to eating the yogurt she had in her hand. Reese started massaging her feet as he looked at the lumpy yogurt and wrinkled his nose in disgust.
"Really?" he said. "Yogurt mixed with peanuts? That sounds disgusting." Kiara grinned and took another bite of yogurt.
"Hey, at least it's healthy," she said. "And I am carrying your child. This is what happens." She paused for a second and thought. "Well, at least I think it's your kid. It could be the mailman's."
"Well, if it comes out looking like Leonardo DiCaprio I'll know it's the mailman's," he said working on needing the pads of Kiara's feet. A little moan escaped her mouth. "And if it's devilishly handsome, I'll know it's mine."
"He," Kiara said laughing. She slid closer so that now she sat close enough to him to rest her head on his shoulder.
"Right," Reese said. "He. Our son." He moved his hand from her foot to her stomach and grinned. Kiara covered his hand with hers her fingers filling the gaps between his.
"Yep," she said. "Our son. Creepy isn't it?" She dropped her hand and snuggled into him. "Ok, maybe not creepy more like weird."
"I think it's perfect," Reese said kissing the top of her head. "I don't think it's weird or creepy at all." He watched as Kiara closed her eyes and quickly grabbed the yogurt before she dropped it.
"Reese," she murmured. "I'm glad that I fell in love with you."
"Me too," Reese said. Her breathing evened out after a little bit and Reese found himself glancing around the living room. Soon, his son would be in here held by Kiara. He would grow up and play in this room. They'd have Christmas mornings in this room. And maybe, if he convinced Kiara, there'd be more kids running about the apartment. Reese smiled at the idea and then glanced down at his wife.
She let out a little sigh and shifted against him, her hand searching for his. His smile widened and slid his hand over hers. She was the reason he got up in the morning, the reason he laughed and smiled. And soon, he'd have two reasons.
