Set on Winning her Heart
Chapter one:
There's one day in ever teenager's life that screams "freedom". That one was where he or she finally realizes that there will be no more curfews, no more chores and best of all, no one to tell them what to do. That day where you don't have to worry about anybody coming home to see a mad party going on. That day where the parties could just keep going on. It was moving day.
"Now Michelle, I know Dill will be there but I'm still very uncomfortable with the idea that you will be living with..." The thoughtful mother started rambling. She looked at her beautiful daughter. "Well you know." She continued, caressing her eighteen year old's cheek. Her offspring was flawless with long, straight pitch black hair and big bright chocolate brown eyes. Her body was like a model's; rather thin but her hips were a bit large and her legs looked like they could go on for ever. Basically, she was very attractive and her mother was just so concerned.
"Mother, it's not a problem. If you haven't forgotten, I've lived with my pig of a brother all my life. I think I can handle Dill's friends." The young lady proudly declared, grabbing her Fendi purse and the last of her luggage.
"Yes honey but they are boys! Ratty, hormone driven boys!" Hugging the jumpy mother, the girl rolled her eyes.
"Mom, Dill's like my brother, he would never hurt me. And I know one of his roommates." She assured her.
"Ah yes, Jeremy Rodriguez; the dorky one?" She nodded her head. "What about the other one?"
"Bye mom!"
"Michelle wait-" Running off, Michelle Dubose closed her car door and realized that she had finally escaped that wretched house.
---
"Hey! Look who it is!" Phillipe Dill Henderson shouted at his best friend as he opened her car door. He tossed his arms around the girl he had known since he was only five years old.
"Dill!" She was delighted to see him; he was six feet tall, very muscular, a great upper body, tanned, a buzz cut for hairstyle and native origined. He obviously knew how to dress well since he was one of Michelle Dubose's friends. If you weren't fashion forward, you weren't seen around Michelle.
"C'mon, let's get your bags upstairs." Releasing his friend, Dill took two of her suitcases and headed towards the elevator. These two were the best of friends; the type that could spend the day together and never run out of conversation topics. "So how was the trip?"
"Awesome." Michelle said to him. "Where's Jerry?"
"He's probably still playing video games, you know how he is." She awkwardly nodded her head at Dill. She had met Jeremy a couple of times in the past. He was a quirky dude all right with a head full of light brown hair, pale skin, a thin physique and a strange obsession with wearing cuddly sweaters.
"Hey Dill, you know you never told me." Michelle suddenly started.
"Never told you what?"
"Who's your third roommate?" Just as she asked this, something or someone ran over her. She hit the floor before anyone could yell 'watch out'.
"Whoa, sorry there dude." And right on top of her, having his arms on her sides and just laying on her like it was normal, was her last mystery roommate. "Wait a minute, you're not a dude; you're hot." He was possibly six foot five, spiky black haired, had biceps very visible through his muscle shirt and damn, that face of his was just gorgeous.
"Excuse me?" Michelle had finally snapped out of her staring at Mister crystal blue eyes. She was back to her old self and was now glaring at him.
"You heard me. Baby since I'm already on top of you, just take me upstairs and have your way with me." Michelle rolled her eyes at him. Oh no, he was one of those guys. "I wouldn't mind."
"Get off." She ordered.
"Sorry?" He was jolted, was he actually being rejected?
"Get off you creep!" She pushed his chest as Dill had to step in to pull the guy off Michelle before she had a chance to beat the crap out of him. She dusted her new jeans, put her hands on her hips and stared the boy down. "Listen loser, I'd rather be snorting cocaine out of a hooker's ass then sleep with you."
"Loser? Dollface, the name's Frankie. Frankie Delgado. I'm pretty sure you've heard of me." The arrogant boy started, placing a hand on his belt buckle and walking closer to Michelle. He wiggled his buckle a bit, making her eyes drop to his crotch area. "I'm a pretty big deal around here."
Michelle definitely got the double meaning to that sentence.
"I've never heard of you." She confidently said, lifting her eyes away from his genitals.
"Really?" He looked like he was in disbelief.
"Really."
"They even call me big thang you know?"
"Gross."
"All right, enough you two. you're going to have get along better than that if you're gunna be roommates." Dill announced, coming in between the pair.
"Roommates?" They both exclaimed.
"You're fucking kidding me Dill." Michelle let out.
"So wait, if she's next to me, we have to share the washroom right?" She could feel her heart sinking when Frankie spoke. The house was designed with four bedrooms. Two on each side with two washrooms. So between two bed rooms, there was two doors connecting to the same washroom.
"Looks like Frank." As Dill kept talking, Michelle started wishing she hadn't moved out of her parent's place.
