Unseen

She faces the mountain, she starts to climb.

After years of practice, after years of worry,

She places one foot above the other. She knows it is time.

She is confident now. Bold steps: she's in no hurry.

Halfway up, she slips, she falls,

Slips a bit further, takes a step back,

Grabs a piece of the rocky walls.

And persists to get back on track.

Higher and higher, she's almost there,

Just out of reach, her mind bathes in her dream.

She misses a rock, and thinks no one cares

When she loses her grip, and falls

Unseen.
