We sneaked past the guards and grabbed a horse from the stables we got out with out anyone noticing I hope. Once we got out of the castle I went on the horse and helped Rose up. As I started to ride she grabbed my waist tightly I blushed but shook it off. We found Tristan at a river with flowers in front of it we had to go back soon before we were noticed I got off the horse and had Rose stay on it. I told Tristan I was sorry for not noticing how he felt about my sister he forgave me and then, "why did you bring her!" he yelled I tried to calm him down, "I couldn't let her be there alone and we would have gotten in trouble either way," I said to him, "I admit that we would have gotten in trouble if we both left but this could count as kidnapping the princess or treason we'll be lucky if she just sends us to the dungeon!" he yelled angrily, "I think she can hear you," I say to him glaring, "anyway we should go before they notice," he says walking toward the horse. "Hey princess sorry for making you wait," he says to her, she just smiled maybe she didn't hear him. A carriage rode up it was white and fancy I heard Rose mutter oh no the door to the carriage opened the queen was there along with her daughter. "You dare define me!" she yelled we were doomed we were going to the dungeon, "it wasn't there fault mother I ran away and they came here to retrieve me," she said, was she lying for are sake, "is it true?" the queen asked, Rose turned toward us and nodded subtly. She was willing to take the blame but why for us. We both nodded we didn't want to take pride in her taking the blame for us. "Rose get in the carriage," she said strictly, Rose followed orders accordingly. We rode the horse back both of us had our heads down. We both felt guilty it was our fault she got in trouble. We went in the castle, "you go up without me okay," I said to him he nodded. I waited by the door, strangely enough it was cracked opened just enough that you could peer through. I heard voices that sounded clear as day I decided to listen and watch the conversation between Rose and the queen. "You wretched girl how dare you try and run away," the queen screamed, "I'm sorry your highness," Rose said with her head down, "look at me when your speaking to me," the queen screamed again this time she slapped Rose to the ground. Right then I wanted to step in and defend Rose I wanted to protect her. Rose looked up at the queen, "I'm sorry for running away your highness I shall never do it again nor shall I attempt it," she said with the most politeness I've ever heard. "Good, now I'm doing this for your sake you know it's a dark place out there, no one will care for you like I do," she said with a smirk, "I couldn't agree more my queen," Rose said looking at the queen with lifeless eyes that would make you pity her. My eyes widened I thought Rose would never believe a word of darkness, maybe it had been going on longer then I thought maybe she finally broke. "Good, now get out of my sight," she said.

"Yes, I bid you good day your highness," Rose said getting up and walking toward the door. "Rose are you okay," I said, she just nodded. "Hey you can talk to me if you need to," I told her, "I don't want your pity right now," she said walking fast up the stairs. I grabbed her wrist, "hey I never said I pitied you," I told her looking down, "you don't have to tell me I can feel it from the tone in your voice from the way your lips move all they tell me is I pity you," she said depressingly. This made me angry I don't pity her I care about her, "shut up if I pitied you I would tell you it would get better but I'm not doing that am I," I told her, "then look me in the eyes and tell me what to do with myself for I don't feel like I need to be here any longer," she said like she was crying, was she thinking about killing herself. I looked her in the eyes they were a sad green that wanted to be told the truth, "live on that's all you need to do," I said to her. She wiped her eyes, "I won't cry, if that's what you want me to do," she told me, "I never said I wanted you to cry but I do want you to smile," I said hesitating at he last part she blushed. "Will you still be my friend if I told you my feelings," she asked shyly, "of course," I said with a smile. We went up the stairs without another word, we just held hands.
