Beyond Closed Doors
The people all around Zoi's victim were in complete shock. Someone had their cell phone out; the cops were on the other line. Zoi's victim's name was John. It was the boy she has shared her first kiss with. She couldn't believe what she had just done. She just committed a murder, and the police were on the way. She was terrified. Zoi felt the fear pulsing in her veins. The only thing she could think to do was run, which was also illegal. If they found her, she would be arrested for both murder and running from the cops. She went against her better judgment and ran. She ran and ran and ran. Zoi turned towards the woods and hurriedly scurried into the grasp of the dark woods. It was extremely horrifying knowing the cops were after her.
Zoi ran. She ran fast and hard. The Pack was following her, but she didn't stop. They were screaming her name, but she still didn't stop. They told her they'd fix it all and get through it, but she wouldn't quit running. She didn't know what she was doing and she was just so afraid. Zoi didn't want to do anything to anyone else; she didn't want to hurt her only friends.
She didn't know where to go or what to do. Then she saw the cops… They were shining their lights right at her. She ducked down and went back to human form, remembering how she was not supposed to reveal herself to humans. "YOU!" the cops screeched.
Zoi threw her arms in the air. "Just take me! I don't want to hurt anyone else! Just get me out of here!" The pack was in the background, watching as Zoi gave herself into the police. None of them knew what she was doing.
Arik kept thinking "Is this my fault?" He couldn't help but thinking that it was. He had brutally left her and kissed Ashley right in front of her. He felt like a total jerk. He was so afraid that Zoi just gave her life because of him. That was a horrid thought.
Zoi arrived at the jail with the cops and sluggishly got out of the car. She had no idea what was waiting for her within the walls of this terrifying building. She walked in; and one of them told her this: "You have been sentenced immediately to death. May the Lord have mercy on your soul."
Okay, I'm switching to a different point of view. I would like to address you, the readers.
I am afraid, reader, that I must end this story here. For this may be the end of Zoi, but it also may not. The police could change their mind, or maybe they won't. All I ask of you is to let your mind wander. Do not end the Pack's journey there. This is the way you may become an excellent writer. Think of the many possibilities. I ask that you do not hold this against me, but rather seize the opportunity. Write you own ending. I would love to hear it. Thank you for reading my stories.
