Home on Earth

All around grows dim as the night

My soul is constrained in a vice, deadly tight.

Hopes and fears born from shadows descend

Life grows gray, many lives do not mend.

Hearts grow cold as all mercy dies

I can hear their suffering, horrid cries.

Man against man and nation against nation

Carelessly they cause such great desolation.

What can one man do to stem such a tide?

Oh God give me strength, Hell's gates open wide.

So wise and so beautiful the angel of light

With his lies dark is bright and grievous wrong is natural right.

In my mind I see how it will all end

Brother against brother and friend against friend.

But then, oh such a glorious thought,

With a flash in a moment I will at last be brought

Home to Heaven

John 15:18-19 NIV "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. This is why the world hates you."

This is my first posting on this siteā€¦so let me know what you think.
